Musicians who have recently passed away〔Amazon Music & Spotify〕

John Lodge の訃報に気を取られていたら、他にも著名なミュージシャンの訃報が相次いでいた。故人には失礼な話だが、まとめて紹介して、ご冥福を祈りたいと思います。

今回は、Rick Davies of SUPERTRAMP、Ace Frehley of KISS、Chris Dreja of the Yardbirds、Anthony Jackson の4名です。

★Rick Davies：Co-founder of SUPERTRAMP（1970-1988）
　Best known for the group's most successful album “Breakfast in America”
　In charge of songwriting, vocals & keyboards, wrote and sang such hits as
　‘Goodbye Stranger’, ‘My Kind of Lady’, ‘Cannonball’ & ‘Bloody Well Right’
　Died of multiple myeloma after a decade-long struggle against his illness,
　6th September, aged 81





★Ace Frehley：Original member of KISS（1974-1982 & 1996-2002）
　In charge of guitars, vocals & songwriting, Released several solo works,
　Formed "Frehley's Comet" after his first departure from KISS,
　Toured with Peter Criss' band in 1995, then they joined KISS for their reunion
　Fell down in the studio and got injured September 2025,
　which caused cercebral hemorrhage,
　Never recovered, and passed away October 16, aged 74




★Chris Dreja：Original member of the YARDBIRDS（1963-1968 & 1992-2013）
　In charge of rhythm guitar, then switched to bass guitar
　Suffered from cerebral apoplexy in 2012, then left the reunited Yardbirds in 2013
　Passed away in the beginning of October, aged 79



★Anthony Jackson：Legendary bass player mainly in the field of JAZZ
　Plays his signature 6-string bass guitar, contributed to numerous artists
　from Jazz to Soul & Rock over the borders of genre ever since 1970's
　His last collaboration turned out to be Hiromi Uehara's “The Trio Project”
　along with the notable session drummer, Simon Phillips
　Suffered from cercebral hemorrhage and Parkinson’s disease,
　then quitted musical activities in 2017
　Passed away October 19, aged 73
